New Flender speciality: individual tube lengths up to 24 m
Flender is meanwhile even capable of producing tube lengths up to 24 metres. The cost advantages for Flender’s customers are obvious.

Jürgen Krampe (Head of Production and Logistics, left), Jörg Hernando (Managing Director, centre) and Robert Piskorz (Project Manager RS 115, right) are pleased about the successful premiere.
- Economy of welded seams
- Economy of x-ray costs and appraisal costs
For example, highly interesting information for plant and boiler manufacturers: as of now Flender is able to supply premium-quality tubes also with lengths of up to 24 m and diameters from 33.7 to 114.3 mm.

If required, the pipes can be weld-annealed and produced in accordance with EN 10217-2 standards – a distinctive feature for these dimensions. In this dimensional range, Flender is probably the only pipe and tube manufacturer in Europe that has managed to meet this challenge on the brand new RS 115 pipe welding line. The new tube lengths are an economical and particularly interesting alternative to conventional tubes for plant and boiler manufacturers, as the greater the length of each individual pipe, the less welding and examining is needed in the course of further processing – a real economical and qualitative advantage for all boiler manufacturers and power plant operators.
A very interesting alternative to Flender-Flex-Tubing® with which tubes are continuously coiled without a transverse welding seam, providing lengths
of up to 4.1 kilometres.
